On October 23, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., Yasemin Arshin, representative of the European region of Turnitin company, trainer of client consulting services, conducted the first training session for the administrative and academic staff of Avicenna - Batumi Medical University, in a distant format. The meeting was devoted to familiarization with technical data entry and processing issues for the use and administration of Turnitin software.

Using the program is one of the mechanisms for protecting the principles of academic integrity. Scientific research papers, articles, books, monographs, and other publications prepared within the framework of the university's activities (before publicity) are mandatorily subject to checking in the anti-plagiarism system. In order to detect plagiarism, the university will use the electronic plagiarism detection system - Turnitin. The use of the program in the educational process ensures an effective tool to deter plagiarism and, in case of similarity, the reflection of the document(s) with which the similarity is revealed in the program report.
