LIBRARY

The University operates its own independent library, located on the fourth floor of the administrative and academic building, which serves as one of the key pillars of the teaching and research process.
The library space comprises three functionally interconnected areas and includes a book repository and two reading rooms.

The library is equipped with furniture and facilities adapted for both group and individual study and is designed to accommodate up to 50 readers simultaneously.
The reading rooms are furnished with work desks, computers, printing, photocopying, and scanning equipment, creating a comfortable and modern learning environment.
Library services are available from Monday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 21:00, amounting to a total of 72 service hours per week.
The library collection fully corresponds to the literature specified in the academic programs and syllabi. The educational materials in use have been published no earlier than 2022 and represent recognized core textbooks in the relevant fields.
The library holdings include contemporary medical textbooks, reference and encyclopedic publications, periodical scientific literature, journals, and other academic resources.
The University’s electronic library ensures remote access to educational resources.
The electronic library catalogue is integrated into the University’s Learning Management System (LMS), enabling Avicenna’s students and staff to access learning materials both on campus and remotely.

The library’s operations, rules for the use of its collections, and service standards are regulated by the University’s internal нормативative documents.
The development and renewal of the library collection are carried out systematically, taking into account the needs of the School of Medicine, the Quality Assurance Unit, academic staff, and students.
The University is a member of the Georgian Library Association, cooperates with local and international library networks, and ensures students’ access to modern, diverse, and readily available learning resources in both physical and electronic formats.
