Clinical Skills, Simulation Training and Assessment Center | 4

The Clinical Skills, Simulation Training and Assessment Center is one of the core pillars of the University’s educational process. The Center supports the development of students’ clinical skills through contemporary simulation-based training and evaluates their competencies using standardized assessment methods.

The Center is equipped with multifunctional simulators and models produced by leading global manufacturers. This infrastructure provides a safe and controlled environment for clinical skills development and ensures a high-quality assessment process.

Problem- and Case-Based Learning Approach

Teaching is delivered through a problem- and case-based learning approach. From the first year of study, students acquire foundational clinical knowledge, enabling the effective integration of theoretical and practical learning.

Within this approach:

  • Students’ engagement in the clinical environment begins in the first semester.
  • Elements of clinical practice are progressively embedded throughout the entire program.
  • Practical training reaches its maximum intensity in the 12th semester, which is fully dedicated to clinical practice (30 ECTS).

Integrated Training and Assessment (OSCE / OSPE)

The Clinical Skills, Simulation Training and Assessment Center comprises 15 fully equipped stations where both training and assessment are conducted. Clinical skills are assessed using standardized examination formats (OSCE / OSPE), which ensure:

  • a structured environment specifically designed for the assessment of defined clinical skills;
  • objectivity and standardization of the assessment process;
  • the use of assessment models aligned with international practice.

The Center administers student assessment in accordance with the learning outcomes defined by the Medical Doctor educational program, ensuring appropriate examination management and compliance with syllabus requirements.

Infrastructure and Location

  • The Clinical Skills, Simulation Training and Assessment Center is located on the 4th floor of the main academic campus and supports both simulation-based training and clinical skills assessment activities.
  • The Center is equipped with modern, high-technology infrastructure in line with international standards.
