Strategic Development Goal

The Strategic Development Plan of Avicenna - Batumi Medical University envisages:

• Introduction of a modern model of education that ensures the formation of a professional with high moral values who will be competitive and easily adaptable to changing environment through elaborating and implementing higher education programs in medicine, nursing, physical medicine and rehabilitation, addictology and public health, residency and continuing professional development programs in response to the modern challenges of medicine;

• A significant contribution to the improvement of medical education in the Adjara Region through full utilization of the University “clinic principle” and integration of the teaching and clinical practice;

• Introduction of the innovative teaching methods and standards of the World Federation of Medical Education;

• Full Internationalization of teaching, research and practice;

• Development of international relations aiming at experience exchange, implementation of educational, research and joint programs;

• Continuous training of the staff (academic, invited, administrative);

• Integration of education and research;

• Increase of the integration quality of theoretical and practical teaching;

• Involvement of the staff and students in the exchange programs;

• Elaboration of the professional development programs;

• Monitoring of implementation of standards and quality of sustainability;

• Implementation of research and innovation focused on patient safety and well-being;

• Offering a career development model within the corporation;

• Use and development of the already introduced model promoting the career development of young people with high academic performance by the corporation, ensuring employment of graduates in the partnership network of the University;
