Erasmus+ Short-Term Academic Mobility at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu

Avicenna - Batumi Medical University announces a fully funded Erasmus+ competition for short-term mobility of academic staff.

The mobility will take place at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Romania) during the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.

The competition is open to academic staff of the School of Medicine at Avicenna.

Mobility period: 7 days (including 2 days for travel)

Erasmus+ grant: €1,345

Number of positions: 1

Application deadline: 7 November 2025

The exact dates of the mobility and the lecture topics will be determined in agreement between the host university and the selected candidate.

The mobility will last one week, of which five days will be dedicated to lectures and working meetings, and two days to travel.

Selection and nomination of the candidate to the host university will be carried out by Avicenna - Batumi Medical University, while final confirmation of the mobility will be provided by the host university.

Proof of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level (the academic staff member must meet at least one of the following criteria):

  • International certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, UNIcert®, EnglishScore, etc.)
  • Certificate of passing a B2-level English test issued by the university
  • Certificate of at least 2 years of teaching experience in English (issued by the university)

Selection criteria:

  • Academic staff ranking
  • Motivation (assessed based on information provided in the application form)
  • Research activity (participation in international conferences, published articles, or other academic achievements)
  • Evaluation will be conducted by the Avicenna selection committee based on the submitted documentation and the above criteria.

Preference will be given to academic staff affiliated with Avicenna, persons with disabilities, and applicants who have not previously participated in the Erasmus+ program.
