Erasmus+ Short-Term Academic Mobility at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences

Avicenna – Batumi Medical University announces a fully funded Erasmus+ competition for short-term mobility of academic staff, aimed at strengthening international academic cooperation and participation in major international academic events.

The mobility will take place at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences (Poland) within the framework of the 8th International Week 2026, which will be held from 20 to 24 May 2026 at the Academy’s branch campus in Gdańsk.

The competition is open to academic staff of the School of Medicine at Avicenna – Batumi Medical University.

Mobility details:
  • Host institution: Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, Poland

  • Event: 8th International Week 2026

  • Location: Gdańsk, Poland

  • Dates: 20–24 May 2026 (Wednesday–Sunday format)

  • Mobility duration: 7 days (5 working days + 2 travel days)

  • Number of available positions: 1

  • Application deadline: 18 January 2026

The mobility will include lectures, academic discussions, networking activities, and working meetings with international partners. The exact academic contribution will be agreed upon between the host institution and the selected candidate.

Selection and confirmation:

Selection and nomination will be carried out by Avicenna – Batumi Medical University, while the final confirmation of participation will be provided by Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences.

Required documents:
  • Completed application form (submitted via the registration link)

  • Copy of passport

  • Europass CV

  • Proof of English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level, demonstrated by one of the following:

    • International English certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, UNIcert®, EnglishScore, etc.)

    • Certificate of passing a B2-level English test issued by the university

    • Certificate confirming at least 2 years of teaching experience in English (issued by the university)

Selection criteria:

Applications will be evaluated by the Avicenna selection committee based on:

  • Academic staff ranking

  • Motivation (as stated in the application form)

  • Research activity (participation in international conferences, publications, or other academic achievements)

Preference will be given to academic staff affiliated with Avicenna – Batumi Medical University, persons with disabilities, and applicants who have not previously participated in the Erasmus+ program.
