Conference on: Assistive technologies - the way to more independence

On 11 July 2024, a conference on the topic: "Assistive technologies - the way to more independence" was held with the support of Avicenna - Batumi Medical University.

At the conference, there was represented innovative technologies and techniques that allow people with disabilities to improve their quality of life.

The conference was led by international and local specialists in the field: Camilel Matta, Akriti Rana, Tamaz Mzavanadze, Nestan Shashikadze, Ana Gurgenidze, Nana Gegelishvili, Natalia Jamaspishvili, Mariam Gelashvili, Elene Tskrialashvili, Natela Chachkpaniani, Tsira Kapanadze and Sopio Nadiradze.

The event was organized in partnership with Avicenna Medical University and Consort Georgia. It was dedicated to promoting effective inclusion, independence and development of people in need of additional support.

What was discussed:

  • Interactive demonstrations of assistive technologies
  •  Expert talks and Q&A sessions with industry leaders
  •  Hands-on workshops to explore and understand new tools
  •  Networking opportunities with professionals and peers
