On May 23, 2023, the delegation from Poland, Lower Silesia visited Avicenna - Batumi Medical University. The members of the delegation, led by the Mayor of Wroclaw, met the founders of the University, Mikheil Artmeladze and Khatuna Varshanidze, the Rector Sophio Beridze, and the University administration. At the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the history of the establishment of the University, its mission, vision, and information about the importance of the medical University for the development of the region and the country.

The Polish delegation expressed its desire and readiness to deepen the academic and cultural cooperation between the two regions. It was planned to sign an agreement between the higher educational institutions and hospitals of the two countries and implement joint educational and medical projects.
