On December 6, 2025, an international scientific conference BATUMI VALVE 2025 – “Valvular Heart Diseases: Achievements and Challenges,” was held in Batumi, organized by Avicenna – Batumi Medical University with the support of the Georgian Society of Cardiology, the Association of Cardiac Surgeons, and the Association of Interventional Cardiologists of Georgia.

The event represents a first precedent in Georgia, establishing a large-scale professional platform dedicated specifically to the transcatheter treatment of valvular heart diseases.

The conference was attended by academic staff and residents of Avicenna – Batumi Medical University.

BATUMI VALVE 2025 once again confirms the University’s commitment to supporting the creation of education- and high-technology-based professional platforms that, through the exchange of scientific knowledge and clinical experience, will contribute to the future improvement of medical education and the quality of healthcare services.
