Avicenna Student Scientific Conference 2025

The Avicenna Student Scientific Conference 2025 will be held on June 16, 2025, at Avicenna – Batumi Medical University.

 Conference Objectives:

  • To systematize students' knowledge, deepen subject-specific understanding, and foster the development of practical and creative skills;
  • To develop students' ability to conduct independent research, prepare scientific-research papers, and present and defend their findings;
  • To encourage young researchers to engage in future scientific-research activities.

Clinical Medicine:

Important Dates:

April 22 – May 1, 2025: Registration of paper titles and scientific supervisors. Submission of documentation (Form N1 and Form N2) via email: - conference@abmu.edu.ge 

May 20–22, 2025: Submission of originality statement signed by the supervisor (Form N3) via email: conference@abmu.edu.ge, and uploading the paper to the plagiarism detection system (TURNITIN). 

May 23–27, 2025: Evaluation of student research papers by the review committee. 

May 28–30, 2025: Announcement of Stage I results and selection of up to 10 best papers. 

June 16, 2025: Stage II: Public presentations of the selected scientific papers by students.

June 20, 2025: Announcement of winning papers and award ceremony.

 

Participation Conditions (See the Rule):

  • All students with active status at Avicenna are eligible to participate in the conference.
  • A student participating in the competition may submit no more than 2 (two) papers, with only 1 (one) paper allowed per subject area.
  • The submission of a single scientific paper co-authored is allowed only by 2 (two) students.
  • The scientific paper must represent independent work carried out by the student either individually or in collaboration with another student, reflecting the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the course and research process.
  • To participate in the conference, the student must submit an application for participation (Form №1), a Consent on the supervision of a scientific work from the scientific supervisor (Form №2), and Author’s statement on the originality of the scientific-research paper (Form №3) within the registration deadlines
  • The supervisor of the student’s scientific paper can be an academic or invited staff of Avicenna.
  • A person is allowed to supervise/co-supervise a maximum of 3  (three) students' scientific papers simultaneously.

 

Winning Conference Papers and  their dissemination

  • All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
  • The university ensures the publication of scientific papers in the conference proceedings for students who receive a score of 81 or higher.
  • Authors of the best scientific papers will receive monetary awards:

1st Place – 300 GEL

2nd Place – 200 GEL

3rd Place – 100 GEL
