Program Description
The One-Cycle Educational Program of „Medical Doctor“ at Avicenna – Batumi Medical University aims to prepare modern, highly competent physicians equipped with comprehensive theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and a strong sense of social responsibility, in accordance with international standards.
The program addresses current global healthcare challenges and public health priorities. It responds to the growing need for professionals capable of rapid decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, adaptation to dynamic environments, and the implementation of global health principles in local practice.
The core goals of the program are to:
- Prepare professionals with a solid foundation in biomedical and clinical sciences, who understand the practical relevance of translational and evidence-based medicine, and recognize the role of bioinformatics in modern healthcare;
- Train qualified physicians capable of diagnosing and managing major health problems across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of the healthcare system, performing standard clinical procedures, delivering rational pharmacotherapy, and providing consultation and care in both routine and emergency situations;
- Educate globally-minded, interculturally aware physicians who are adaptive, socially responsible, and prepared to respond effectively to the evolving needs of patients and society;
- Foster humane professionals with strong ethical values, who contribute to improving public health, longevity, and well-being, and actively participate in the development of the healthcare system;
